My puppy training program involves all of the beginning steps to building a long and beneficial relationship with your new pup. I highly recommend starting education for a puppy as early as 8 weeks old because they are still in their socialization period. Topics include:
Are you having trouble with cues like sit, down, stay, or recall with a dog that is at least 8 months old? Does your dog pull you everywhere he or she wants to go? These classes are great to provide solutions and a foundation for your dogs to start behaving how you would like them to.
Is your dog destroying the door, shaking, drooling, crying or barking every time you leave the home? If your dog doesn’t know what to do when no one is home, your dog may have some degree of separation anxiety. Separation anxiety can be very harmful for your dog by causing destructive behaviors and increasing the amount of stress on them but with a plan in place, you can manage and may eventually relieve their anxiety.
Every aggression case is unique but they all need to be handled delicately. Aggression cases include but aren’t limited to: reactivity, resource guarding, dog on dog bites, and dog on human bites. Please set up a consultation to evaluate your issues.
Does your dog bark at people and/or dogs walking by? It sounds like your dog has reactivity. This is a form of minimal aggression but can turn more aggressive if managed inappropriately and trained incorrectly.
